Sharpham Sparkling 2014

Produced using the traditional method and bottle aged for nine months. A fresh, crisp style with elegant mousse and classy finish.

Tasting notes

Style:- Elegant dry traditionally made sparkling wine

Colour:- Light golden

Nose:- Stylish fruit character with good depth of fruit

Palate:- Clean and fresh fruit with upfront mousse.

Wine making

The grapes were harvested in 2014 and fermented in stainless steel. In 2015 we inoculated the wine with a small amount of yeast and sugar to induce the secondary fermentation. The wine then remained on the lees for a further 24 months before being disgorged.

Food notes

A 'must try' with our wonderful local seafood, the mousse has a delicious style that enhances oysters and shellfish. Ideal with canapés and as an aperitif. Serve chilled.

Awards

SILVER - International Wine Challenge

SILVER - UKVA National Awards

GOLD - Taste of the West
