Our winemaker has put together the following half case to showcase both award winners and the wonderful diverse wines that can be produced from our vines on the banks of the River Dart - Enjoy! The selection includes the following:

Winemakers Half Case

Estate Selection - This wine remains one of the most elegant and exciting combinations to pare with fish and seafood. The single variety Madeleine Angevine is completely unadorned. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks allows the fresh citrus fruit flavours to burst through and perfectly balanced acidity gives a long, refreshing finish.
   

Barrel Fermented - Made at Sharpham since 1992, this is one of very few English wines to be fermented in oak barriques. A secondary fermentation softens acidity and results in a rich, creamy style. Elegant tropical fruit flavours and subtle oak combine perfectly making a wonderfully versatile wine to accompany fish, grilled meat or a rich cream sauce.
   

Bacchus - This wine is produced from a slow cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It is an off-dry style, well balanced with elegant tropical fruit aromas. The palate is fresh and fruity with a refreshing crisp finish. Bacchus 2015 is best served well chilled either on its own or with food.
 

Beenleigh Red - Four times winner of the Bernard Theobald Trophy for Best Red Wine at the English and Welsh Wine of the Year Awards this is one to save for your best dinner guests! With between three and six hundred bottles produced per vintage, this rare, international award-winning wine is a coveted jewel to any English (or international) wine collection. A sophisticated wine, full of ripe red fruit flavours and aged in French oak, it makes a great companion to red meats or rich Italian food.
 

Pinot Noir Red - This elegant red wine is made by cold macerating the Pinot Noir grapes for three days, followed by fermentation on the skins for a further four days before being pressed. The result is a full-flavoured wine with a firm structure and underlying rich and vibrant red fruit flavour.
   

Sparkling Blanc - Taking a Silver at the International Wine Challenge in 2016 as well as a Gold from the Taste of the West Awards, this elegant sparkling is a real treat for every occasion. Traditionally made here at Sharpham, it is full of the class and finesse that we pride ourselves on.
